Friendly Fires create music that lies somewhere between the poppiness of Snap!, the funkiness of Prince, and the electronic dance-iness of Daft Punk.
Consisting of frontman Ed Macfarlane, Jack Savidge and Edd Gibson, Friendly Fires were the first unsigned band ever to play Channel 4's Transmission, and their self-titled debut album was nominated for the 2009 Mercury Award. The name Friendly Fires originates from the opening track of English post-punk band Section 25's LP 'Always Now' and the trio consider German techno label Kompakt, Carl Craig and Prince to be their biggest influences.
The band have since gone from strength to strength with BRIT nominations and a Top 10 album release. Their sophomore offering, 'Pala', was released in 2011.
Having already toured extensively, Friendly Fires have already performed throughout the UK, Europe, Japan, USA, Canada, Mexico, South America and Australia.
During the five years since their last release, the band have been incredibly quiet - until now, with their third LP 'Inflorescent' arriving in August 2019.

Friendly Fires History and Biography
